25 Years, 5 Stories: Celebrating Women Leading XAPT Forward

This year marks a major milestone for XAPT: 25 years of innovation, growth, and transformation. From our early days to our global expansion, one constant has remained—our people.

In particular, women across departments and continents have played a vital role in building the company we are today. In a field that has historically been male-dominated, XAPT has made a purposeful effort to hire, promote, and recognize women in technical, operational, and leadership roles.

Throughout our 25-year history, women have made an impact at every stage of XAPT’s development. Their contributions have not only shaped XAPT’s internal culture but also served as a model for how diverse teams can drive innovation and long-term success in the software industry. Today, the influence of women is felt across departments. From designing scalable ERP integrations to testing financial systems and mentoring newcomers, they continue to shape both the company’s culture and its future.

To honor their impact, we’re spotlighting five women whose stories represent the heart of XAPT. They come from Finance, Software Development, Customer Support, Delivery, and Business Analysis. Through their stories, we reflect on where we’ve been—and where we’re going.

Eva helped launch one of XAPT’s first go-lives in 2014, traveling on-site to support the rollout of NAXT2012 for Milton CAT. When a key interface failed, she and the team manually executed critical steps to ensure success. Her collaborative spirit and calm under pressure helped secure a successful go-live for Milton CAT—demonstrating to one of XAPT’s key early customers that the team could adapt and deliver under pressure.

“I was part of the first go-live teams back in 2014. It was intense, but it was rewarding to see it succeed.”

Eva has also led cross-functional teams through Agile transformation, helping introduce Scrum methodologies and daily standups while piloting new task visualization tools to improve communication.

“I’ve always loved cross-functional projects—working with other functional teams, supporting new interfaces. It’s where the biggest learning happens.”

Recently returning from maternity leave to a new role, Eva brings over a decade of experience to a fresh challenge. Although she has more than ten years at XAPT, this new position feels like a new beginning—an opportunity to grow in a different domain. She describes it as both exciting and humbling to start fresh, saying she sometimes feels like a newbie again, even with her extensive experience.

Now working part-time, Eva appreciates the flexibility and support that allow her to thrive professionally and personally. She is looking forward to mentoring newer team members, especially in training settings where she shares her deep knowledge of the product and encourages an open, inquisitive mindset.

“I’m open to whatever the next generation brings—new ideas, new energy. That’s how we stay strong.”

Like Eva, Shauna’s story reflects how hands-on experience and a commitment to learning can shape a career. Her growth has been driven by ownership, curiosity, and a drive to make processes better for everyone.

Shauna plays a key role in managing the full-cycle accounting process for both U.S. and Canadian operations. Shauna is part of the finance team responsible for everything from managing bank accounting and reconciliation to processing accounts payable to employee expense reports.

Beyond day-to-day financial tasks, Shauna has played a lead role in implementing new Finance systems and processes. One of her standout contributions has been supporting the testing and deployment of Zoho for expense reporting. Previously, the process was highly manual and time-consuming: preparing a monthly expense journal entry could take up to two hours. With the integration of Zoho and Business Central, that same task now takes just 15 minutes.

She also played a key role in the implementation of the new Finance ERP system, Business Central. From testing key features to validating workflows, she was deeply involved in each phase of the rollout. This hands-on involvement has given her a strong sense of ownership over the Finance and Accounting team’s digital transformation. The upgrade has directly supported improved billing accuracy and faster response times for clients—ensuring that financial operations are as reliable and professional as the services XAPT delivers.

“Getting involved in projects like software rollouts has been a wonderful way to stay challenged and engaged. It allows me to dig into processes and make things better for everyone.”

Shauna has also helped build bridges between international teams, fostering a more connected and collaborative culture. Through initiatives like improving intercompany accounting practices and testing company-wide financial tools, she has contributed to more seamless workflows across time zones and borders. Her mantra? “Work efficiently and with thoughtful effort.”

“This company has changed, and I’ve changed with it. Every challenge has helped me grow into the role I have today.”

Where Shauna brings clarity to financial workflows, Anasztazia applies that same principle to systems design—bridging business needs with scalable system design.

In her 13 years at XAPT, Anasztazia has grown from consultant to integration function area lead. She designs and supports integrations between NAXT Dealer Management Platform, powered by Microsoft Dynamics 365 and external systems used by Caterpillar dealers worldwide. In practice, this means building APIs, authentication models, and using tools like Postman and SQL to validate her designs. She leads high-impact technical projects like Cat Inspect, Cat Card, and SPM—tools used by Caterpillar dealers worldwide since 2012.

“My role is often about turning complexity into something others can clearly understand and use – whether they are developers, testers, or business users.”

API design requires both technical execution and business insight, allowing her to bridge communication between stakeholders and developers. Anasztazia’s work creates secure and scalable integrations, connecting NAXT with everything from e-commerce platforms to enterprise reporting systems. These integrations help customers maintain visibility and control across their operations, reinforcing XAPT’s role as a trusted technology partner.

Anasztazia is also a mentor to many, often providing technical guidance and personal encouragement to help them grow.

“I always try to support more junior colleagues with clear guidance. I share my knowledge openly, but I also want people to develop their approach. I try to be the kind of colleague I would have needed early in my career.”

Like Anasztazia, Jasmin operates at the intersection of systems and people. Her strength lies in translating needs across teams—and growing in her role while helping others do the same.

Jasmin thrives on collaboration. As a Delivery Consultant, she works directly with clients and internal teams to ensure project success, helping translate business needs into working solutions. She’s passionate about understanding the real challenges her customers face. That means asking the right questions, surfacing insights, and clarifying expectations across teams.

“I try to understand not just what the client asks for—but what they truly need.”

Jasmin’s role constantly evolves and challenges her to grow: “Being challenged in the project, facing difficulties, finding solutions for those challenges keeps me motivated.” That sense of continuous learning, she notes, is one of the reasons she loves the work.

For her, the relationships she develops with her customers are especially meaningful. For example, early in her career, Jasmin supported Surmac, a dealership in Suriname, in implementing the NAXT sales and rental management software modules. By listening closely, offering tailored support, and staying actively involved throughout the project, she was able to guide the team to a successful outcome—leaving a lasting impression on the customer.

Jasmin’s approach blends technical insight with empathy. She is often the person bridging communication between users, developers, and consultants, helping align expectations and resolve misunderstandings before they become blockers. She also supports internal team members, regularly coaching peers and offering input drawn from her on-the-ground experience with project delivery.

“I’m happy to share my knowledge with newly hired consultants and assist them with the best knowledge I have. I find great joy in mentoring, believing that guiding and supporting others is a key part of professional growth and personal fulfillment.”

In her own way, Betti echoes the theme shared by all five women: stepping into complexity, staying adaptable, and helping others thrive—whether through technical precision or everyday support.

Since joining XAPT a few years ago, Betti has become a cornerstone of the support team. Starting in a more junior role, Betti has grown into the role of Experienced Support Consultant—a dynamic position that demands both technical fluency and a deeply client-focused mindset. Her work touches every corner of the support function, from investigating complex issues to providing solutions that are not only technically sound, but also tailored to the client’s context.

No two days are the same, and Betti thrives in that variety. She combines methodical problem-solving with empathy and adaptability, striving to understand each client’s needs and approach every case with patience and care. Her calm demeanor and careful prioritization of customer issues help her create positive customer outcomes.

She also works closely with her colleagues across teams—the collaboration is critical to her role.

“As a support consultant, I think the most important thing is to achieve customer satisfaction. My colleagues help me out, creating a supportive environment where I can succeed and grow.”

One of her recent accomplishments was passing the MB-330 certification exam, a goal she set to deepen her product expertise and bring even more value to her clients. This year, she’s turned her focus to expanding her finance knowledge, underscoring her commitment to continuous growth.

“This kind of environment that we are in—where everyone can feel valued, not only benefits individuals, but strengthens the entire company.”

Though each of these five women has a unique role and story, their experiences share common themes. Their achievements have often come in spaces where women remain underrepresented: software development, ERP integration, finance, and client delivery. In these settings, success requires more than technical knowledge; it requires adaptability, cross-cultural communication, and a high degree of emotional intelligence.

For many of these women, mentorship has been critical—both receiving it early in their careers and offering it to others now. Whether formally or informally, each has played a role in supporting colleagues, guiding new hires, or creating space for others to succeed.

They also share a mindset of continuous growth: studying for certifications, taking on new project domains, or stepping into leadership responsibilities even when outside their comfort zones. This drive to learn and contribute is paired with a deep sense of responsibility to the team and client.

Looking ahead, these women envision a future where XAPT continues to foster transparency, access to opportunity, and professional development, especially for women entering technical and operational fields. The vision grounded in both ambition and collaboration: a workplace where more women rise to lead, and more voices are empowered to shape the company’s future.

XAPT’s Junior Trainee Program is one way this vision is already being put into action. Designed for university students with limited work experience, the program offers a hands-on learning environment where trainees collaborate closely with senior colleagues to build practical skills. Trainees typically work part-time while continuing their studies, with many preparing to step into full-time roles after graduation. It’s another example of how XAPT invests in the next generation of leaders, starting from the ground up.

As we celebrate 25 years, we recognize the contributions of women across the company—those featured here and many others—who have played key roles in XAPT’s growth and development. Their work has helped shape the culture, streamline operations, and support customers around the world.

And every contribution highlighted here plays a part in advancing NAXT—XAPT’s flagship Dealer Management Platform—and in strengthening our customers’ ability to succeed in a fast-changing, digitally driven industry.

XAPT continues to evolve, and we will continue making space for new voices, supporting career progression at all levels, and fostering a culture of curiosity, initiative, and mutual support. Together, these stories highlight how purposeful inclusion—through trust, mentorship, and opportunity—creates lasting impact across teams, projects, and generations.
