Kelly Tractor – New Business Platform Means Streamlined Operations, Greater Simplicity and Reduced Operating Costs

Miami, Florida – FEBRUARY 4, 2010 — Business Technology Leader XAPT Corporation announce successful “Go Live” of the Microsoft ERP-based dealer management solution at Kelly Tractor and Pantropic Power Inc. These two Caterpillar dealerships have taken bold steps to implement a comprehensive solution which integrates, in real-time, all areas of their business including Sales, Service, Rentals, CRMParts, Finance, and Power Systems. This go-live stands out as one of the first implementations in the industry to achieve a cutover to a fully integrated, end-to-end business platform on a consistent technology which reduces complexity and improves performance.

It’s bad enough that Heavy Equipment dealers have to cope with the worst economic conditions in decades, but all too often their internal systems are riddled with profit-sapping complexity and inefficiency. As a result, it’s always especially good news when companies serving the industry can find new and better ways of simplifying the business process in ways that generate greater control and profitability. It’s especially good for employees who are provided with leading edge tools that allow them to work more seamlessly across the Dealership, to manage better and to maximize customer satisfaction.

Over the past 15 months, XAPT has worked with Kelly Tractor and Pantropic Power to enhance XAPT’s global version of the Heavy Equipment solution so that it meets all North America regulatory requirements and fully satisfies a wide range of common industry business standards. With over 80 real-time interfaces, the solutions works seamlessly with a variety of manufacturer/vendor systems supporting critical equipment distribution/support requirements including supply chain management warranty, maintenance plans, telematics and service processing.

The first-of-its kind implementation marks the beginning of a new level of demonstrated performance by a flexible, easy to manage ERP solution designed just for Heavy Equipment Dealers.

Customer benefits include:

  • Streamlined data transfer thought-out the dealership
  • Real-time updates of customer and equipment information from every business area
  • Minimization of infrastructure complexity
  • Reduction of transactions
  • Increase in accuracy
  • Significant improvements to ear of use; Looks and feels like Microsoft Office
  • Profitability tracking on an asset-by-asset basis in real-time
  • Role based presentation of capabilities and information
  • Enhanced workflow based collaboration

Daniel Enekes, CEO of XAPT, explained that while Heavy Equipment Dealers will see many benefits from this revolutionary business platform, “Ultimately it boils down to three things: simplicity, enhanced connectivity between employees, business partners and customers and comprehensive all-in-one functionality for Dealers. Clients will now have a single source of information for asset management, and that will quickly add up to meaningful operational efficiencies. This is an exciting moment because it marks the availability of a truly revolutionary solution for Heavy Equipment Dealers struggling with ways to improve profitability. Not only does it address fundamental issues it also comes with the confidence that it will be around for a long time to come. It has the full backing of Microsoft and is built on technology that has received annual investments approaching $1 billion. That should be interesting for many dealers.”

Nick Kelly, a dealer principal of Kelly Tractor, agrees, and explains that while equipment dealers are very savvy when it comes to customer service, asset and cash management, and equipment maintenance that doesn’t mean the processes are as simple as they ought to be. “XAPT has proven time and time again that they get our business and they have developed an outstanding solution that our employees love to use because it’s immediately recognizable – it’s just like Microsoft Office except that it delivers processes that are fine-tuned to our requirements. Implementing and training is yet another thing. XAPT are professionals who have a focus on our industry when it comes to managing business complexities, and I think those currently charged with trying to unify all their company’s data into a single, manageable view will be excited about the implications of that they are offering here. We’re always looking for ways of helping our clients maximize their gain while minimizing risk and administrative headaches, and we’re excited that we can enlist proven innovators and industry leader XAPT in our mission.”

Powered by Microsoft Dynamics AX, the Heavy Equipment Dealer Management software has been developed to integrate and enhance all facets of dealer operations. It is a cohesive and seamless business suite with capability for general ledger, crm, sales, receivables, parts, service, rental and power systems – providing visibility across the dealership enhancing customer responsiveness and ultimately, profitability.
