Women of XAPT 2026: Celebrating The People Behind the Work

The women leading the heavy equipment industry embody the industry’s core values: hard work, precision, and resilience. While Women’s HiThe Women of XAPT series, now in its fourth installment, spotlights the people whose work shapes the company. Last year’s edition profiled five women whose careers had helped shape XAPT during its first 25 years.

This year, we’re continuing with five more.

It should come as no surprise that women at XAPT are critical to its success, working across the company from HR, Support, and Finance to Technical Consulting and Business Analysis. The five women here represent a cross-section of that work. They’re based in Hungary, the Philippines, and the United States. Some have spent decades in the software industry; others are earlier in their careers. Each plays a different role in the work that keeps NAXT customers running.

Customers see a dealer management platform that simply works, but inevitably, behind it are people figuring out the next implementation, the next support ticket, the next design decision. These are five of those people.

Lyan joined XAPT in October 2023 after eight years in IT healthcare and a degree in international business. Her first major project was the MADISA go-live in Mexico, which wrapped up in November 2025. She still calls it «one of my babies.»

MADISA became the first Caterpillar (CAT) dealer in Mexico to move to NAXT, and its implementation was fairly complex. The tax rules for Mexico turned out to be quite different from those in the United States, for example payment documentation required some extra steps, and shipping notices were not standard. MADISA was also one of the pilot dealers to implement the Mitsubishi interfaces with NAXT, and one of the pilot dealers for the CAT Helios initiative.

The project stayed on track and was implemented successfully, with a very satisfied customer. Lyan is now working on several projects, including an upgrade for Milton CAT in Boston and TRACSA in Mexico.

Lyan credits her project manager, who has pushed her toward new certifications and helped advance some of the more challenging aspects of the MADISA project. She also points to XAPT’s mentorship program, which pairs every new hire with a mentor during onboarding. She says her PM «has more hope in me than I do by myself,» and about her team, «I wouldn’t be able to do half of my stuff without them.»

Her advice to women entering this field:

Don’t underestimate yourself. We try to be perfect, and we downplay our accomplishments. If you’re there, it’s for a reason.

Fatima came to XAPT in March 2023 with solid experience in Microsoft Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementations and a background as an accountant in the Philippines. Her first XAPT project was an implementation for Kelly Tractor

She started as support to the lead finance consultant. When the lead left XAPT partway through, Fatima was well-positioned to step into the lead role and carry the project through to completion. The U.S. heavy equipment dealer business was new space to her, but she brought her finance background to it. Kelly Tractor went live on the cloud-based NAXT365 dealer management platform in 2025.

What helped along the way was teamwork. Whenever she needed input, she could reach across departments (NAXT Software Operations, Sales, Finance) and tap into the right expertise. «My colleagues’ support really helped me build my confidence and grow into my role.»

Today, Fatima implements Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations for dealers, joins client meetings, works through testing-phase issues, and helps customers optimize their business processes.

Her advice for others joining this industry:

Don’t underestimate your place in the room. Your perspective is valuable, even while you’re learning.

Veronika brings 26 years of professional experience into her role. She started as a software tester, then ran international SAP payroll implementations across Poland and Denmark for nine years. She joined XAPT in 2018 as a Finance Business Analyst, but the product team felt too back-office for her. She worked with HR to find a role closer to customers, and eventually she was pulled onto the Support team: «Support is kind of a detective job. I like the technical part, but I also like the human part.»

In 2024, Veronika led the pilot implementation of CAT card processes for U.S. dealers. The CAT card is a payment method dealers use across service, rental, and parts, so the implementation touched every area of the system. When issues surfaced during the pilot and the timeline tightened ahead of scheduled summer training, she worked closely with her team and successfully delivered the project on time.

After the pilot, Veronika trained dealers during the full rollout. The customer wrote to her manager afterwards to say it was the best-managed project they’d worked on.

Veronika is grateful to her mentors and the Support manager, who pulled her onto a team when she was looking for a new role that was better aligned with her strengths. She also points to XAPT’s HR team, who supported her transition and continue to make work-life balance possible around her two children. She’s now a mentor herself to several newer employees.

Her advice for success in this industry:

If you genuinely enjoy what you do, you’ll always find a way to do it well

Katalin came to XAPT five years ago, recommended by a former team lead. She started as a Support Consultant for the U.S. region, then moved into a Business Analyst role on the parts NSO (NAXT Software Operations) team. She was promoted to Senior Business Analyst this year, which was earlier than she had expected.

Her role sits between Support and Development. When a customer hits an operational degradation with financial impact, she investigates, decides on a fix, tests it, and coordinates with the release team.

The project she points to as the most demanding was design work for the implementation of NAXT for MADISA. Requirements changed mid-stream, and designs had to be developed in parallel, layered on top of one another. But rather than becoming a barrier, the challenge is part of Katalin’s secret to success: «I always see a new challenge like a puzzle. You just have to find a way to put it together.»

Katalin is grateful to her team lead, who has helped guide her career path, and to XAPT’s skill framework, which gives her a clear view of what’s required to move into the next role. She also points to a senior colleague (whom she refers to fondly as «Yoda» because he knows everything) who keeps her up to date on process changes from Microsoft.

Katalin’s advice for women starting in this industry:

Don’t be afraid to voice your concerns. If you’re confident and you’re right, just go with it.

Fanni’s customer is XAPT itself. She joined as an HR Generalist in September 2023 and was promoted to Experienced HR Generalist in March 2025. Since then, she has been globally responsible for HR processes across Hungary, the United States, and Canada, and is the first point of contact for around 250 employees.

An important part of Fanni’s work revolves around supporting employees through maternity leave, consistent with labor laws in their country. Fanni walks new mothers through what to expect with the leave, what government benefits might apply, and what their return-to-work options look like.

Like others, she credits some of her success to her manager believing in her abilities from the first interview and consistently giving her tasks that push her outside her comfort zone. She also points to her HR colleagues and to XAPT’s chief accountant, from whom she’s learned a great deal. The open culture, where her ideas are heard regardless of gender, has also shaped her growth.

For Fanni, what matters for a person’s success is how they show up each day. She believes that the key is being open to ideas, willing to listen, and willing to be challenged. Her advice to new colleagues in the industry:

Do not feel less than others. Instead, make your voice heard, be confident, and believe in yourself and your knowledge. Real expertise and experience are valued everywhere, regardless of gender.

Five women, five departments, three countries, careers at different stages, but with some very clear common threads between their experiences.

Each of them named someone at XAPT who pushed them. And when asked what they’d tell a woman starting out, they offered very similar advice: be confident, don’t second-guess yourself or underestimate your ability, ask questions, and find your support.

When asked what they hoped to see at XAPT in the next few years, the answers clustered. Fanni and Veronika talked about the mentorship program and internship program continuing to grow, with more structured ways for new and younger women to learn from those people who are further along. Veronika herself is now mentoring several newer employees.

Katalin hopes to see more women leading visible projects, working closely with dealers, and taking on bigger and more complex designs. Lyan and Fatima both want the things that are already working to keep working: trust, flexibility, and continued investment in training and certifications.

NAXT365, the platform that customers see, running service, parts, rentals, finance, and equipment as one system, is built and held together by people.

The five women here are just some of those people, quietly ensuring that XAPT customers have a powerful dealer management system that they can rely on.
